Signs to Save Trees, from P.S. 321

Sara Azcona-Miller, Zoe Hamilton, Grace Burrough, and Camilla Goldberg are helping to “Keep P.S. 321 beautiful.”

The Fifth Grade Service Team at P.S. 321 has created charming illustrations about the value of our neighborhood’s beautiful trees and how, in return, we must care for them. The Park Slope Civic Council has partnered with this great group of students to create signs out of their illustrations that will hang from newly planted trees on Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh Avenues. Five signs have been hung thus far; more will appear during the summer.

The Sustainability Committee thanks Grace, Imi, Karenna, Matthew, Miles, Mira, Samara, Sara and Zoe for their artwork, and P.S. 321 parent Coordinator Marge Raphaelson for her help. We know these wonderful signs will increase awareness of our trees and their need for adequate water, protection from dogs, litter and soil trampling.
