Awards and Scholarships

Each year since 1979, the Park Slope Civic Council has honored volunteers and professionals for outstanding service to the community. The awards epitomize the Civic Council's philosophy, that it is not real estate that earned Park Slope its status as one of the 10 best places to live in the United States, but people who care. (The photo here is of 2007 winners Kim Maier, executive director of The Old Stone House, with Trustee Susan Fox and immediate past president Lydia Denworth; and Norman Oder, writer of the Atlantic Yards Report blog, with Denworth and Trustee Lumi Michelle Rolley. Fox and Rolley presented the awards.)
