Awards and Scholarships

Each June at its annual membership meeting, the Park Slope Civic Council honors outstanding volunteers and professionals for service to the community with its Lovgren Award.

At the same meeting the Civic Council awards three scholarships to high school seniors graduating from one of the Secondary Schools at John Jay (Mary Laverne Allman, for Law; Rosemarie and Francis J. Kazeroid, for Journalism; and Evelyn and Everett Ortner, for Research).
