Since the 1950s, the Civic News has been the voice of the Park Slope neighborhood and of its advocate, The Park Slope Civic Council.
Published monthly September through June, the Civic News offers features, analyses, history, news and photos. Civic News is sent to PSCC members and community leaders.

Because the public and elected officials have been shut out of its planning, Atlantic Yards is a poorly designed project that has polarized the community and that squanders both opportunity and public trust.
“The Committee’s members have a wide range of opinions about the proposed Atlantic Yards project, but we’re united in our belief that the DEIS does the community a disservice by its failure to fully address the project’s potential adverse effects.”
Then-president Lydia Denworth explains how PSCC came to its position statement on Atlantic Yards that says in brief, “We cannot support the Atlantic Yards project as currently proposed.”
