Highlights of the 2010 House Tour

The 2010 Park Slope Civic Council House Tour takes place from President to 2nd Streets.

Starting Point Location

(Location to purchase tickets and receive House Tour Brochures)

Poly Prep Lower School

50 Prospect Park West at 1st Street

Take a short tour of this magnificent 1892 Romanesque Revival mansion designed by Montrose W. Morris.  You will see how beautifully this mansion and Poly Prep’s new building have been integrated.

Highlights of the Tour include:

One of the last single-family homes built in Park Slope, a 1919 Neo-Tudor features Asian antiques, beautiful decks and a stunning art deco bathroom once coveted by The Brooklyn Museum.

Magnificent woodwork, plaster friezes and stained glass are hallmarks of this 1903 Romanesque Revival.  A throne chair and mirror by famed Italian designer Carlo Bugatti are also on view.

Highlights of an unusually wide 1886 Queen Anne include various styles of mantelpieces, wallpaper decoupage ceilings and a huge kitchen leading to a lovely garden.

A 1901 Neo-Renaissance home features a stunning kitchen with a fireplace and stained glass skylight.

Understated elegance is the theme of this 1877 French Neo-Grec which has recently undergone major renovations.  A large and beautiful kitchen looks out to the garden.
